Class Descriptions

Zumba®

Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together (all sizes, shapes and abilities) to sweat it on.  We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

Zumba® Toning

Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together (all sizes, shapes and abilities) to sweat it on, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles!  Similar to regular Zumba®, we mix low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party, but also add resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights), to help you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged!

Hip Hop Cardio

Hip hop your way through an hour of high-energy dance set to pop and hip hop tunes. A short warm up will be followed by easy to follow routines to your favorite songs! We'll get your body moving to exciting dance combinations, while getting a great workout!

STRONG ™ by Zumba Fitness

Strong by Zumba™ is a one-hour group fitness class that utilizes a combination of HIIT (high-intensity interval training), body weight exercises and strength conditioning lead by the music. This is not a dance-fitness program, but like Zumba®, the music is part of the foundation. The movements will be synced with the music and the tempo will lead the intensity. Students can expect an overall body transformation with improved muscular definition and high caloric burn.

Bootcamp

Get in shape “boot camp” style! Experience high-intensity, full-body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper & lower body, specifically designed to “make it rain” sweat! From circuit-style routines that jump-start cardio fitness, to creative muscle-toning exercises using dumbbells, exercise bands, or even the participant’s body weight, each class brings its own unique challenges. No two classes are the same! Students will work to improve cardiovascular stamina, core strength, & flexibility.

BARRE®

Our BARRE® classes are designed to effectively strengthen, tone and balance the entire body. We offer fat burning workouts that integrate the use of the ballet barre, light weights and various props. Students will focus on form and precision while performing small isometric movements as instructors emphasize basic alignment, foundation, and specific muscle actions. Each class includes several highly effective sequences of toning and resistance exercises with an emphasis on the core, arms, seat and thighs. Each strength section of this workout is followed by a stretching section to create long, lean muscle without bulk. These are challenging, no impact classes that require focus and precision for maximum results.

POUND®

POUND® fuses cardio interval training with drumming to provide a challenging, heart-pumping workout. It offers a full-body workout and targets common trouble spots. A huge part of the class is performed in a squat position. The constant up-and-down drumming targets your inner and outer thighs, butt, and core. The drumsticks used in class are 1/4 pound per stick and a little shorter than the standard length, which make them perfectly designed to maximize your arm workout. This is the class for anyone who thrives off group fitness or needs loud music to stay motivated.
